Tracy Henke, Chief Policy Officer of Greater St. Louis, Inc. and President of its public policy initiative ChamberSTL, issued the following statement today on HB 2436 (Rep. Houx), a bill introduced in the Missouri House that establishes a grant program for employers to enhance cybersecurity.

“Cybersecurity is of growing importance to our metro businesses who are facing threats from all over the globe, which is why Greater St. Louis, Inc. testified yesterday in support of HB 2436, a bill that would create a grant program to help Missouri employers enhance their cybersecurity operations.

“Greater St. Louis, Inc. is proud to partner with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support this legislation that will help companies of all sizes protect themselves from cyberthreats. In addition, we believe this initiative will add to the great work the Global Center for Cybersecurity at Cortex is doing as they collaborate with public and private partners to face and prevent new and existing cyberthreats.”
