The five combining organizations were AllianceSTL, Arch to Park, Civic Progress, Downtown STL, Inc., and the St. Louis Regional Chamber. Director of Engagement

The Director of Engagement, plays a pivotal role in growing GSL’s membership base across the 15-county MSA through a unique partnership with local chambers of commerce. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for effective communication, the position will strategically build meetings, events, and initiatives to propel Greater St. Louis, Inc. forward.

The role will be at the forefront of our efforts to engage local chambers of commerce and the businesses they represent to strengthen the business community’s unified voice around a bold agenda of growth over the next decade. The Director of Engagement will be dynamic and multifaceted – crafting a comprehensive program for a unique set of stakeholders, to spearheading mission-driven initiatives, to being a compelling public face for GSL at meetings and events across the region. This individual will also collaborate closely with internal teams and serve as a liaison between stakeholders. And with days spent in all 15 countries with public and private stakeholders, leadership will be vital in shaping our narrative far beyond St. Louis.

Manager of Engagement

The Manager of Engagement provides project and event support for Greater St. Louis Inc.’s engagement office to attract new investment, maintain stakeholder engagement, track investments in Salesforce, and coordinate stakeholder events. Agility, collaboration, and comfort with fluidity and ambiguity are key to success. The Manager of Engagement must have an ability to work at a fast pace, paying great attention to detail, with a focus on agility and ability to balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines. This position will include communicating and collaborating with internal and external GSL stakeholders.

This role requires exceptional events management and administrative skills. Producing client-ready written work product will be essential. This is the perfect position for someone who wants hands-on experience in collaborating with the business community to affect inclusive economic growth for the bi-state St. Louis metro area.

Vice President of Engagement

The Vice President of Engagement, plays a pivotal role in expanding GSL's impact by cultivating a robust network of invested and engaged member companies. The mission will be to identify and onboard new investor companies, spearhead an industry-leading engagement program, and foster enduring relationships with the region's business leaders. Efforts will contribute to GSL's rapid organizational growth and enhance the civic involvement of the business community.

Alongside the Chief Engagement Officer to whom this position reports, this role will employ a spectrum of recruitment and engagement tactics, leveraging data insights and digital platforms to maximize reach and effectiveness. In addition, this person will act as a vital link between investors and the GSL team, identifying opportunities and navigating challenges to ensure a fruitful partnership.
