The teams on the ground leading tornado recovery efforts still need supplies, donations, and volunteers. Please note the updated list of items they’ve identified for each location, additional volunteer requests at the 4theVille location, and the new hours of operation at the Action St. Louis/The People’s Response location at the O’Fallon YMCA. Also note that the Urban League will hold a large-scale resource distribution event this Saturday afternoon, June 7 (details below).

 4theVille – 4144 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive 

Please note: Relief efforts at this location will continue through today, Friday, June 6 (from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.). The team on the ground at this location has said they have a significant need for skilled volunteers who are comfortable using power tools and willing to climbing ladders to support home stabilization efforts. Those interested can drop by 4144 Dr. MLK or call 314-280-3247 to coordinate scheduling

Leaders at this location are also making a push to deliver building supplies like tarps & lumber to residents and are asking for help from people who have a truck and are willing to haul items. If you are able to assist, please stop by the emergency hub or call 314-827-5507

The Urban League and their partners are hosting another large-scale food, toiletries, and resource distribution event tomorrow, Saturday, June 7, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. at their headquarters on Kingshighway at Dr. Martin Luther King Dr.

Volunteers Needed – In addition to supplies, volunteers are still needed at these locations. For additional volunteer opportunities, The United Way of Greater St. Louis and Action St. Louis/The People's Response have established volunteer centers.


Donations Needed – The City of St. Louis has worked with the St. Louis Community Foundation to establish the City of St. Louis Tornado Response Fund. This fund supports the efforts to provide immediate relief and long-term rebuilding of areas impacted by the storms. 


Impacted Businesses - Through the St. Louis Development Corporation, the City has set up an assessment form to help understand the needs of businesses impacted by the storm.

United Way Relief Fund – In addition to the City of St. Louis Tornado Relief Fund, you can also make contributions to the United Way of Greater St. Louis Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund, which supports residents across the bi-state region who were impacted by the recent storms, along with disaster response nonprofits and long term recovery efforts.
