Action St. Louis/The People’s Response – Kingdom Church at 4112 West Florissant Avenue
Action St. Louis/The People’s Response announced new hours and a new location for its operations. They will accept donations of supplies through June 28 at Kingdom Church at 4112 West Florissant Avenue.
New Hours: This location operates Tuesday-Thursday from 11 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. It is not open Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays.
In addition to the food & beverage and hygiene products listed below, The People’s Response has requested:
- Volunteers willing to do Relief Dash (dropping resources off to addresses)
- Reusable bags (like those from IKEA or Aldi)

New materials drop-off location open at 3200 South Kingshighway
A new materials drop-off location is now open at 3200 South Kingshighway, near the Home Depot.
People can drop off donations of materials, including building and construction supplies, non-perishable food items, and personal care items there from 8 a.m. to noon.
The organizers at this location have made a special request for a volunteer forklift driver.
Disaster Assistance Center – Chaifetz Arena, 1 South Compton Avenue
The City of St. Louis’ Disaster Assistance Center is open inside the Chaifetz Arena to serve as a central space for tornado-affected residents to connect with agencies offering guidance, resources, and assistance related to recovery and long-term support.
The Disaster Assistance Center is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 16, through Wednesday, June 18, and Monday, June 23, through Thursday, June 26.
Resources and services available will include vaccines, emotional support, mental health care, legal assistance, job programs, and more. Insurance consumer specialists from the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance will assist residents with understanding their insurance policies and navigating the claim process.
Free parking is available at the Olive-Compton parking garage at 3338 Olive Street and Uber is covering the cost of two round-trip rides (up to $50 each way) to the Disaster Assistance Center at the Chaifetz Arena. Get more information.
NEW at the Disaster Assistance Center: Home Again: Rehousing Recovery Fair
- On Tuesday, June 17, dozens of housing vendors will be on site at the DAC to participate in the Home Again: Rehousing Recovery Fair, organized by the St. Louis Housing Authority.
- The fair runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and residents seeking housing are encouraged to register online. Get additional information.
- Two additional housing fairs are scheduled for July 10 and August 5, with locations and times to be announced.
FEMA Assistance Now Available
- People impacted by the storm can apply for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Volunteers Needed
In coordination with community organizations, disaster response teams, emergency management, and the local government, United Way of Greater St. Louis Volunteer Center is working to identify where volunteers are most needed.
Donations Needed
The City of St. Louis has worked with the St. Louis Community Foundation to establish the City of St. Louis Tornado Response Fund. This fund supports the efforts to provide immediate relief and long-term rebuilding of areas impacted by the storms.
Impacted Businesses
Through the St. Louis Development Corporation, the City has set up an assessment form to help understand the needs of businesses impacted by the storm.

United Way Relief Fund
In addition to the City of St. Louis Tornado Relief Fund, you can also make contributions to the United Way of Greater St. Louis Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund, which supports residents across the bi-state region who were impacted by the recent storms, along with disaster response nonprofits and long term recovery efforts.
