City Social Key Takeaways

  • Downtown Street Festival
  • Free Event, Friday, May 16
  • Live Music by Dr. Zhivegas & More

Downtown St. Louis’ premier spring street festival is back for its fourth year, as City Social returns to Washington Avenue and 14th Street on Friday, May 16 from 5-10 p.m. The free event is designed for St. Louisans to kick back, relax, and enjoy live music, food and drinks Downtown with friends, neighbors, and colleagues. Drinks will be available for purchase on site and food is available at surrounding restaurants.

“A vibrant Downtown is the heartbeat of any great city. Events like City Social bring people together, showcase local businesses, and demonstrate the extraordinary energy that Downtown St. Louis has to offer the entire region,” said Kurt Weigle, Chief Downtown Officer of Greater St. Louis, Inc. “These moments of connection fuel economic growth and civic pride. We look forward to hosting another successful City Social street festival Downtown.”

City Social — sponsored by Greater St. Louis, Inc. — is one of many efforts to increase vibrancy, boost local businesses, and encourage foot traffic in Downtown St. Louis.

“I started my business selling products at community festivals, so being a storefront owner on Washington Avenue feels like a full-circle moment,” said Ashley Morgan, owner of Whip It Goods Skincare, located at 1304 Washington Ave. “This is exactly why we chose to open Downtown — to be part of the energy, the culture, and the community events that make St. Louis special.
