FEMA Opening Disaster Assistance Centers
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is opening disaster assistance centers in St. Louis. The first FEMA center has opened at the Union Tabernacle M.B. Church at 626 N. Newstead Ave. (at Delmar). The center is open Monday – Saturday from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and is closed Sunday. FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will help impacted residents with their disaster assistance applications, answer questions, and upload required documents. More locations in the City of St. Louis will be announced next week.
To save time, those affected by the tornado are encouraged to apply for FEMA assistance before coming to a Disaster Recovery Center. Apply by calling 1-800-621-3362 or online at DisasterAssistance.gov (to help navigate FEMA’s application process, St. Louis Public Radio has put together a helpful step-by-step guide). If you are unable to apply online or by phone, someone at the Disaster Recovery Center can assist you.
InvestSTL Launches Northside Resilience Fund
To support North St. Louis families displaced by the tornado, InvestSTL has launched the Northside Resilience Fund.
The fund is a direct case assistance initiative with a goal of providing direct cash assistance to at least 1,300 households most affected by the tornado to support their immediate and emerging needs.

The City of St. Louis’ Disaster Assistance Center will be open inside the Chaifetz Arena from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Thursday, June 26, to serve as a central space for tornado-affected residents to connect with agencies offering guidance, resources, and assistance related to recovery and long-term support.
Resources and services available will include vaccines, emotional support, mental health care, legal assistance, job programs, and more.
